Cool. Care to share how you shoot them? I've never tried but would like to try when I'll see some next.

Thanks! For the best ones I used my Nikon 995, a tripod and a ring light. This one was taken with Nikon D80 and a AF-5 Micro Nikkor lens. What you need most is patience and the right weather. Sometimes I only get one good change during the winter.

Thank you, wednesday mc shiver. I am hoping others will try it, I would love to see snowflakes from around the world. Now the challenge has been thrown down.

Very cool, literally... how did you get it magnified so much? You have no camera info for this shot. :(

Don't know why the camera info doesn't follow the pictures. Got to figure that out. I used my Nikon D80 and a AF-5 Micro Nikkor lens. It lets me get quite close to the snowflakes. Then with 10MP you can crop closer.
