The Lovers - Day 35 |
Shepherds Warning II |
|
No separating these two lovers. I was going to shoot this photograph for valentines day, but couldn't wait that long.
PS. Political Statement: I prefer dogs to cats.

I love my wide angle lens. It just brings shots like this really to life!
I should say the that I cropped this a bit and played with the color balance (slightly).

James Barclay - Day 45 |
250 Thread Count - Day 56 |

James Barclay, one of my favorite authors. I spent a bit of time this evening flipping through some the Raven series' of books, Chronicles of the Raven Trilogy, and Raven Legends Trilogy. Am hanging out for his next book now, I read these ones well over 18 months ago now.
The books here are, from left to right, DawnThief, Noonshade, Nightchild Elfsorrow, Shadowheart and Demonstorm.
Thoroughly recommended for any Fantasy novel fans.

On the weekend we bought a new set of linen, our first linen purchase in about 5 years (the old sheets were literally falling apart)
We decided to go all out and bought a set of Dorma sheets with a thread count of 250. These sheets feel soooo luxurious against your skin that I look forward to slipping into bed in the evening and don't want to get out of bed in the morning.
Oh - I'm going to post this to the week seven stripe challenge too :)

Xmas Again |
Shepherd's Warning |
This photograph was taken in a shop located just off the side of Piazza Di Peitra in Roma on my Italia 2006 vacation.
The repetitive layout of the stock was perfect for photography as demonstrated by this small series.

It seems like this Autumn is being fantastic for gorgeous sunrise and sunsets.
I just wish I was good enough to convert these photographs into something really special - time to take some photoshop lessons and become creative :) For now i'll just stick with straight-off-the-camera!

Picture from Saint Peter's Basilica in the Vatican.
The light was shining in from one of the windows directly onto the crowd below - I couldn't turn the shot down. I've got a number of these shots at varying exposures but this is the only one with such a distinct highlight of the people below.
This photo was taken at ISO 1600. (For some reason Zooomr doesn't show ISO in it's EXIF information...)

Big Fat Pipe - Day 22 |
Glow - Day 15 |
Interlocked - Day 51 |
My first "picture while i'm sick". Spent the day at home, half of it in bed, the other half pottering around the house doing things that didn't require much movement.
The is the picture from my living room across the Thames. Unfortunately it is marred by this chimney over in Kent :(

My submission for the Project365 Week 3 Challenge. The topic was Hallways, without an actual photo of a hallway.
I've interpreted this as simply, "gap", and in this case, my daily consumption of water, tea and coffee while at work formed a tight gap that I thought fit the bill nicely :)
